whatup everyone! i left chudleigh park on tuesday! it was so much fun. i spent a total of 20 weeks there and finally felt it was time to roll on. and tomorrow (the 20th) i'm flying out of townsville to south africa.

i'm pretty excited about africa. i've never been there before so i have no idea whatsoever as to what will happen or what to expect. but one thing that's pretty cool is that i'm meeting an old buddy of mine from the states, garth. back home in Renton he and i would talk and talk about traveling for hours. while my traveling dreams consisted of planes, trains, and automobiles, garth's dream was to motorcycle throughout africa starting in europe. well that's exactly what he's done. he left around the same time as i did last year and he's now made it to johannesburg waiting for me to arrive. so that's pretty awesome.

below are some random pics of chudleigh (except the first one) that i thought interesting.

i hope everyone is doing great out there in the wolrd! africaaaaa!!

ok, i was in a small town outside of chudleigh park when i saw this. i asked the driver why he had a solar panel on his roof. expecting some sort of cool answer he gave me the coolest answer of all: "it's to keep my beer cold." welcome to australia, folks.

we couldn't reach a power line that needed fixing so we stacked pallets. makes sense

hey auntie carol, this is the bird i was talking about. (not my pic. it's google's.)

this spider was bigger than my hand

toothless! this is my dog! i named him after the dragon in "how to train your dragon." he's a year old and i don't know what breed(s) he is, something like greyhound and tons of other stuff. i guess he's a mutt, kinda like me. he's the nicest, softest, happiest dog ever and amelia agreed that we can have each other. i'm shipping him stateside later this year.

toothless!

toothless!

the last couple weeks we had severe flooding

'bird's eye view'
the yellow sticky note, by the way, says "powerlines". i guess it's a common enough occurrence

a paddock

amelia, iben and i were riding one day and couldn't cross this flooded road. so we decided to swim

amelia and me

iben pouring dirt on me

toothless! i think he was worried about the depth of the flood
